Cannon Ship is the Monkey Buccaneer's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It replaces its dart attack with bombs that explode on contact, dealing damage in an area and spawning 8 sharp frags that fly in all directions, and it increases the damage of its Grape Shot from 1 to 3. The bomb attack has a 30% longer cooldown (meaning its attack speed is ~23% slower), can damage up to 28 Bloons at a time with the explosion, does 2 damage, and deals explosion damage instead of sharp damage. Its frags can each pop 1 Bloon, and their pierce and damage cannot be buffed.

Strategy
Cannon Ship is a relatively cost-effective early group-popping option, being a cheaper alternative for Destroyer (mainly for CT Least Cash/Tiers, and Boss Rush if needing to deal Boss damage and defend simultaneously). The bombs deal plenty of damage to groups, and grapes deal improved single-target damage. However, the inability of the bombs' frags to damage the Bloon/blimp hit by the bomb makes Cannon Ship still relatively weak to Ceramic Bloons and MOAB-Class Bloons. Like most Buccaneers, it's recommended to position Cannon Ship such that it attacks from both sides. Try to place it closer to the track so its grapes and bombs hit reliably, as its lack of darts makes it more prone to missing spaced bloons.
Faster Shooting is recommended in most situations for general gameplay and stronger single-target damage, while Long Range is preferred in Race Events for increased grape and frag pierce. Double Shot is generally unnecessary due to only adding 1 grape, and Crow's Nest is recommended if innate Camo detection is desired.

We’ve realized that the 130 crosspath just hasn’t even been working for cannons, so we wanted to correct this so that people get all that they pay for with that crosspath, however middle path buccaneer at higher tiers has been overperforming significantly so in addition to this attack speed buff we have also balanced back out that difference in the opposite direction with a damage reduction. — Update notes

Reworking Grape Shot crosspathing as it gains far too much crosspath value by T2 but then is lacking in purpose at higher tiers, double shot will only work as one extra grape however Destroyer will now apply its full attack rate buff to the grapes and Flagship will equip aspects of Grape Shot on the mini planes. — Update notes
Middle path buccaneer continues to attack with its initial 1 damage projectile that never gets upgraded but the Cannons are very much intended to be a ‘replacement’ upgrade to this main attack, so we are finally disabling that dart along with improving the damage of grapes for the T3 & T4 on this path so the lower tiers can save into Pirate Lord better. — Update notes
