Laser Cannon is the Dartling Gunner's path 1 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. Instead of darts, it fires lasers that deal 2 Energy-type damage (can pop Frozen Bloons but not Purple Bloons) with 6 pierce, faster projectile speed, and +2 MOAB damage. Additionally, shock duration is increased by 1 second. Powerful Darts grants +3 pierce instead of +2 (from 6 to 9).

Strategy

Laser Cannon has decent MOAB-class damage, but is not very powerful for its cost, as alternatives such as Riptide Champion or Hydra Rocket Pods are more efficient against groups. The lack of purple-popping can be detrimental to the tower. It is primarily used as a stepping stone to Plasma Accelerator rather than purchased for its own sake. However, in absence of blimp debuffs, Laser Cannons are the more cost-efficient Dartlings to spam against single blimps, as the condensed crosspathing benefits can save more money than buying many crosspathed lower-tiers would.
The 3-2-0 crosspath is preferred for its Camo detection and faster attack speed, as 3-0-2's pierce is not as signficant, and faster swivel is unnecessary.
