Big Iron is the Desperado's path 1 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It increases the number of shots it fires when it attacks from 2 to 6 and increases its damage from 1 to 2. Since it has to fire all six shots before it starts its attack cooldown, it effectively takes an additional 0.4 seconds to unload all shots and start its next cooldown. Additionally it increases Standoff bonus from +60% to +120% but increases penalty per additional bloon from -15% to -30%.

Strategy

Big Iron's single-target damage is decent if placed far to maximize the Quickdraw and Standoff benefits, in addition to slightly better catching of strays, and with its stronger Standoff it excels against single blimp rounds such as round 40. Setting to Strong is usually preferred to focus on high-HP bloons.

For crosspaths, 3-2-0 is preferable in most cases, since the 4x crit damage allows one-shotting of Rainbows and goes in favor of Quickdraw, compared to the 3-0-2 which has less DPS on average despite the bottom path's speed bonuses.
