For its price, Twin Sixes has solid single-target damage but struggles against groups of Bloons, making cleanup towers necessary. It benefits from being far from the track to maximize speed bonuses of both Quickdraw and Standoff (especially against single targets). It also benefits from a defense that already uses Bounty Hunter, doubling its single-target damage. Multiple Twin Sixes are cheaper for the role than The Blazing Sun if cleanup is not a concern.

4-2-0 is generally better as crits can one-shot Ceramics and improves its average DPS more than 4-0-2 when attacking from afar. 4-0-2's speed buffs are less effective even in optimal scenarios, as Desperado's attack speed is limited by the fixed rate of the bursts.

  • Buff Twin Sixes now correctly doubles shot burst rate (Carries up to T5) ― 0.1s → 0.05s (bug fix)
  • Nerf Desperado no longer gains Camo Prioritization when granted Camo detection from external sources (bug fix)
Standoff’s bonus with fewer targets in radius will now improve at T3, carrying all the way up to T5. Twin Sixes damage is increasing along with the cost reducing to make it start easier and stay effective longer.
— Update notes
  • Buff Upgrade cost reduced ― $5,800 → $4,800
    • Buff Overall cost reduced by $1,050 (due to cost changes for previous tiers)
  • Buff Standoff buff: Maximum attack speed bonus increased ― +60% → +120%
  • Nerf Standoff buff: Attack speed bonus drop per Bloon in range increased ― −15% → −30%
    • Note: Overall, the attack speed bonus is doubled and drops with the same amount of Bloons
  • Buff Damage increased ― 5 → 6
    • Note: 5-X-X The Blazing Sun unchanged (20)
  • Buff Pistol now reloads at the end of the round
Top and Middle Desperado favour lower tiers too much so we’re doing a light shift on these to more favour upgrades without improving them too much.
— Update notes
  • Nerf Upgrade cost increased ― $4,800 → $5,800
