Bloon Master Alchemist is the Alchemist's path 3 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants the Alchemist a new attack, which throws a shrink potion at Bloons. This shrink potion converts all affected Bloons into Red Bloons. The shrink potion has infinite range, always targets Strong, and has 200 pierce with an attack cooldown of 10 seconds. However, all MOAB-Class Bloons consume more pierce (MOABs: 20, BFBs and DDTs: 50, ZOMGs: 100). The shrink potion cannot target or affect BADs or Boss Bloons. It can target Test Bloons and their MOAB version, but cannot affect them. It requires support to affect Camo Bloons.

Shrinking Bloons does not grant any cash, which means popping Bloons using the shrink potion loses cash compared to popping them normally.

Strategy

Bloon Master Alchemist often has a misleadingly high pop count despite not being a DPS tower. In reality, its main use is speeding up rounds in Freeplay by instantly killing blimps besides BADs. BMA is a suitable tower to limit pierce-capping for low-pierce Paragons, making it the most efficient non-Paragon method for this. Converted blimps do not count towards Sapper or other achievements besides its own. Crosspaths do not affect its shrink potion.

For normal gameplay, it is inferior to other towers around its price range, such as Bloon Crush, Master Bomber, and XXXL Trap. These towers cover lower tier blimps much more consistently while providing stall utility, good BAD damage, or income generation. Combined with the fact that BMA actually loses cash when converting Bloons, all these reasons make this tower unusable for CHIMPS.
