Full Metal Jacket is the Sniper Monkey's path 1 tier 1 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It allows the Sniper to pop Lead and frozen bloons, and increases its damage dealt from 2 to 4.
Without buffs or crosspathing, it can one-shot any bloon up to a yellow bloon. It also can skip extra layers on tougher bloons, for instance a Rainbow Bloon turns into 8 yellow bloons.
With Shrapnel Shot, the shrapnel can pop lead and frozen bloons and deal 2 damage each.

Strategy
Full Metal Jacket is helpful upgrade for popping Lead Bloons across long ranges, in addition to chipping more layers from Bloons.
A 1-1-0 Sniper Monkey is a very cheap option to pop early camo and lead. If set on "Strong" it will usually pop all the leads on round 28 and 30 into green bloons, however it will target the Zebra Bloons on round 37 over the lead bloons.
1-2-0 Sniper Monkey's shrapnel helps break apart groups of bloons, particularly versus multiple Lead Bloons, but less reliable for precise damage. Bouncing Bullet takes advantage of the extra damage of the shrapnel and bullet bounces from Full Metal Jacket.
Bottom path benefits a lot from top path in terms of single moab damage, especially round 100 BAD and Bosses. An Elite Defender crosspathed with top path is able to defeat the first tier of most bosses, however it is usually needed to upgrade the crosspath to a Large Calibre.
Since the damage type changes to normal, choosing this crosspath means that Snipers cannot receive Geraldo's Sharpening Stone.
