Full Metal Jacket is the Sniper Monkey's path 1 tier 1 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It allows the Sniper to pop Lead and Frozen Bloons, and increases damage of its bullet from 2 to 4. With Shrapnel Shot, this upgrade allows shrapnel to pop Lead Bloons and Frozen Bloons, and deal 2 damage each.

Strategy

Full Metal Jacket is a versatile early-game tower, chipping away higher-tier Bloons and reliably dealing with the Leads of Rounds 28 and 30 on nearly all maps. However, more lead-popping defense is needed for Rounds 37 and 38 on shorter maps, such as upgrading with bottom crosspath, or buying another Full Metal Jacket. The 1-1-0 Sniper Monkey is a very cheap option to pop early Camo Leads, in particular those in Alternate Bloons Rounds. 1-2-0 Sniper Monkey's shrapnel helps to break apart groups of Bloons, especially multiple Lead Bloons, but is unreliable for precise damage and falls off when not shooting Bloons heads-on. Targeting on Strong is preferred for consistent damage to high-tier Bloons.
For crosspathing purposes, Full Metal Jacket benefits all bottom-path Sniper Monkeys by improving their single-target and layer-skipping, though preferred to further upgrade to Large Calibre for maximum damage, compared to grouped damage via Shrapnel Shot. Middle-path Snipers benefit from the extra damage and lead-popping for all shots, however it prevents Geraldo's Sharpening Stone when compared to the benefits granted by bottom crosspath.
