Throws out secondary bombs instead of sharp fragments every shot. |
Cluster Bombs is the Bomb Shooter's path 3 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It replaces each of the Bomb Shooter's fragments with a smaller "cluster" explosive, each of which deal 1 Explosion damage and have 8 pierce. Clusters have 15 blast radius and are larger than the main explosions. Unlike fragments, clusters can damage the same target as the main bomb. With Bigger Bombs, subclusters gain +6 pierce and 50% larger blast radius, and with Heavy Bombs, subclusters gain +16 pierce and +1 damage.

Strategy
Cluster Bombs is a very strong tower in Race Events, where it wipes out massive clumps of Bloons thanks to its excessively large pierce and 2 damage with the 2-0-3 crosspath, which is recommended in all cases. However, Cluster Bombs is sub-par outside of races, due to its inability to pop Black Bloons without Striker Jones, 2-0-3's unreliability, and 0-2-3's weak damage. If running a Cluster Bomb spam strategy, which is functional but suboptimal, Striker Jones is the recommended Hero for his various buffs to Bomb Shooters and Primary Expertise for both its buffs to Primary Towers and granting of free Tier 1 and 2 upgrades.

A while ago Frag Bombs was reworked to give Bomb normal type damage however we were not happy with the results of that change in the end, we didn’t want to go back and remove that again without giving back something nice in return so it has taken a while but now we have decided to go ahead with changing that back along with swapping out Recursive fortified damage for raw damage which we hope also improves crosspathing as the damage crosspath isn’t such a large increase over the base damage anymore.
