Plasma Accelerator is the Dartling Gunner's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It replaces its lasers with a continuous beam that extends to the tower's target location. The beam hits every 0.2s with 50 pierce, and gains the ability to pop Lead Bloons. The tip of the beam is wider and deals 2 damage, with +10 MOAB damage.

Crosspathing with Powerful Darts increases the beam's pierce by 100 and its radius by 50%.

With Cross the Streams, beams create plasma pools every 0.5 seconds at any points where they intersect. This requires at least 2 Plasma Accelerators.

Strategy

Plasma Accelerator is a versatile tower, with strong MOAB-Class damage at its focus point and good group damage along its beam, as well as being able to focus onto targets anywhere at will. It is strongest on maps with straight lines or where the beam can pass multiple parts of the track. As such, it is often better placed near the edge of maps rather than the middle.

However, its damage against Super Ceramic Bloons is very poor, making it weak against rounds 81 and above. Past that point, its main use is breaking down MOAB-Class Bloons. Therefore in CHIMPS and Impoppable, it should be paired with towers that can handle groups of Super Ceramic Bloons.

The Plasma Accelerator's best crosspath is almost always 4-2-0, giving higher attack speed to its already fairly high pierce, plus innate camo detection. It only ever needs the Powerful Darts crosspath in Race conditions when better options aren't available and reliable decamo is available; it can still pierce-cap but its pierce bonus is significantly higher than the speed bonus.
