Monkey Bank is the Banana Farm's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. Instead of producing collectable bananas, it generates cash in its internal balance on each round, which not directly added to the player's cash pool but can be withdrawn at any time. At the end of each round, it increases its balance by 15% in interest. It has a maximum balance of $7,000 ($9,500 with Bigger Banks), and when it is full, it ceases to produce cash until its balance is withdrawn.

If crosspathed with EZ Collect, the dollar sign glows when full, which reminds the player to collect its cash. If crosspathed with Banana Salvage, the Bank autocollects itself at the end of the round when full.

Cash production

Without factoring in any multipliers, Monkey Bank generates four packets of $45 per round, distributed in equally spaced intervals over the duration of the round like a normal Banana Farm, for a total of $180. Increased Production increases its income to six packets of ~$36.67 per round, for a total of $220 per round, and Greater Production increases it to eight packets of $32.5 per round, for a total of $260 per round.

Monkey Bank's income is always 25% greater than the "default" value due to Valuable Bananas, and it also gains +5% income from More Valuable Bananas, so its actual cash generation per round in practice is $225 (+$50 per path 1 upgrade), or $234 (+$52 per path 1 upgrade) with More Valuable Bananas, before interest. Monkey City's +20% income and Benjamin's Bank Hack stack additively with Valuable Bananas and More Valuable Bananas.

Strategy

Monkey Bank is a great farming option if allowed to build interest, and collected when at full or almost full capacity. Under those conditions, it earns much more money than similarly priced farms such as Marketplace and Banana Plantation. To be used optimally, players should keep an eye on their Monkey Banks' balances and remember to withdraw when it's time. The Monkey Bank with Greater Production is greatly improved by Bigger Banks and More Valuable Bananas. With those Monkey Knowledge upgrades, the 2-3-0 crosspath generates $9,465 per 11 rounds or about $860 per round on average, over double that of Marketplace.

However, Monkey Bank becomes a poor option if constantly collected too early (not building up much interest), or too late (wasting time while the balance is full). Another downside is that the cash it produces is locked in its balance until withdrawn, as opposed to other farms which let you use the cash right away; this can be a hindrance if the money is urgently needed. Synchronizing multiple Banks and their balances can be convenient, but is not cost-efficient when spamming Banks.

Greater Production is almost always preferred, as it lets the Monkey Bank generate more money. The Banana Salvage upgrade loses out on cash, but will make the Monkey Bank automatically withdraw its balance after it is full; this may be appealing to particularly hands-off players, while still generating more cash on average than a Marketplace.
