Long Range is the Monkey Buccaneer's path 3 tier 1 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It increases the Monkey Buccaneer's range by ~18.3% (absolute range increased from 60 to 71), increases the pierce of its darts by 2, and increases their projectile speed by 25%.

- Increases the pierce of the planes' radial and forward-firing darts by 2
With Grape Shot
- Increases the pierce of the grapes by 1
With Cannon Ship
- Increases the pierce of the bombs' explosions by 5 and the frags by 1.

Strategy
Long Range is often regarded as the pierce crosspath of the Buccaneer. The increased pierce allows its attacks to pop more bloons at once. Without external pierce buffs, each dart essentially gains +50% base pierce, and grapes even moreso. Cannon Ship's higher damage grapes and bombs appreciate from extra pierce. Aircraft Carrier's planes may situationally prefer the extra pierce compared to the grape crosspath which modifies their radial darts into frontal grapes.
Extra range and projectile speed for the Buccaneer is situational at best. Increased projectile speed may help more reliably snipe bloons.
