Bloon Master Alchemist often has a misleadingly high pop count despite not being a DPS tower. In reality, its main use is speeding up rounds in [[Freeplay]] by instantly killing [[blimps]] besides {{BTD6|BAD}}s. BMA is a suitable tower to limit pierce-capping for low-pierce [[Paragon]]s, making it the most efficient non-Paragon method for this. Converted blimps do not count towards [[Sapper]] or other [[achievements]] besides [[Bloon Master Populous|its own]]. Crosspaths do not affect its shrink potion.

For normal gameplay, it is inferior to other towers around its price range, such as {{BTD6|Bloon Crush}}, {{BTD6|Master Bomber}}, and {{BTD6|XXXL Trap}}. These towers cover lower tier blimps much more consistently while providing stall utility, good BAD damage, or income generation. Combined with the fact that BMA actually loses cash when converting Bloons, all these reasons make this tower unusable for [[CHIMPS]].
