Plasma Monkey Fan Club now has a more powerful [[Activated Ability]] that transforms up to 19 other Dart Monkeys and itself into fast-attacking [[Plasma Blasts (BTD6)|Plasma Monkeys]] for 15 seconds, with an ability cooldown of 50 seconds. Like [[Super Monkey Fan Club (BTD6)|Super Monkey Fan Club]], the ability can only transform Path 1 and Path 3 Dart Monkeys up to tier 2, and Path 2 Dart Monkeys up to tier 4.

== Plasma Monkey Fan Club Ability ==

Compared to Monkeys transformed by Super Monkey Fan Club, Monkeys transformed by Plasma Monkey Fan Club gains +1 [[damage]], +3 [[pierce]], +100% [[attack speed]], and change their [[damage type]] from Sharp to Plasma. In total, transformed Monkeys have a base attack cooldown of 0.03 seconds, 2 damage, and 5 pierce. They inherit any pierce, attack speed, [[range]], and [[Camo detection]] upgrades, and are given a minimum range of 40. They do not inherit the increased [[projectile]] count from [[Triple Shot (BTD6)|Triple Shot]].  

The ability prioritizes transforming non-transformed Dart Monkeys closest to the one that activates the ability. If fewer than 19 non-transformed Dart Monkeys exist on the map, the ability can transform already transformed Dart Monkeys. This resets the transformation time of that Dart Monkey back to 15 seconds.

Plasma Monkey Fan Club has very good synergy with [[Primary Expertise (BTD6)|Primary Expertise]], as it gives ability cooldown reduction, a pierce and attack speed increase, and free T1 and T2 upgrades. {{BTD6|Primary Mentoring}} works as well but mainly loses free T2s. Like the previous upgrade, this tower is focused on high burst damage, and is thus nearly useless without its ability. It is recommended to either use another DPS tower or some form of stalling (e.g. [[Horned Owl]]) to alleviate downtime.

PMFC is very powerful in Timed [[Boss Events]], being one of the fastest ways to defeat most Tier 1 and 2 Bosses when paired with debuffs such as [[Embrittlement (BTD6)|Embrittlement]] and [[Glue Strike (BTD6)|Glue Strike]]. It is also strong in [[Boss Rush]] for farming pops and saving up to the [[Apex Plasma Master]]. Note that debuffs are largely only necessary against Bosses rather than normal gameplay.

The transformed Dart Monkeys are best upgraded to 2-2-0 to maximize pierce and attack speed, but 0-2-2 can be bought if the extra track coverage and/or Camo detection is more useful than the pierce. After the upgrades have been bought, [[Triple Shot (BTD6)|Triple Shot]] can be considered to grant another speed boost for a low cost.
