Bigger Stacks (BTD6): Difference between revisions

Bigger Stacks provides a significant pierce gain, allowing each spike pile to pop more bloons. It also has an inexpensive lead-popping successor, [[White Hot Spikes (BTD6)|White Hot Spikes]], for dealing with DDTs without support.

For most tiers, this is essentially (ignoring external buffs such as {{BTD6 mk|One More Spike}}) a +100% pierce bonus for tanking bloons. For lower-tier upgrades, this is an efficient crosspath for its cost, particularly for 1-0-2. Bigger Stacks remains a favorable crosspath for tanking bloons throughout the entire bottom path, and for direct DPS for [[MOAB SHREDR (BTD6)|MOAB SHREDR]] and above, to more reliably take down MOAB-class bloons.

Although [[Perma-Spike (BTD6)|Perma-Spike]] only gains +70% pierce from this crosspath, it's still more efficient at generating spikes than the 0-2-5's +66% attack speed, but roughly equal when basic external pierce buffs (e.g. [[Abyssal Warrior]] and [[Berserker Brew (BTD6)|Berserker Brew]]) are involved.<!--(50*1.2+2)/(0.8*0.75)-(85*1.2+2) = negative, but replace 2 with 3 to get 0--> Likewise, [[Carpet of Spikes (BTD6)|Carpet of Spikes]] still usually favors this crosspath despite only gaining +50% pierce, as the 0-5-1's lifespan and 0-5-2's lane-switching are rarely more impactful, and 1-5-0 has more effective synergy with [[Lord of the Abyss]]'s percentage pierce buffs.
