Rapid Reload is the Mortar Monkey's path 2 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It further reduces its attack cooldown by 28% compared to Faster Reload, in other words increasing the attack speed by approximately +38.89%. It attacks every 1.08s instead of 1.5s. The total attack speed bonus compared to base Mortar is approximately +85.18%.

Strategy

Rapid Reload is generally not used by itself, and is instead relegated to being a stepping stone to its succeeding upgrades or a crosspath. For lower-tiers, it's effective on Race Events for early-game Mortar. As a crosspath, it is optimal with Signal Flare, as the reliability coming from Rapid Reload's extra attack speed is key to Signal Flare. With other top and bottom path Mortars, Rapid Reload is generally recommended as a crosspath on maps with multiple simultaneous entrances and on very short maps, where reliability becomes more important, but less recommended for other maps.
