Glue Splatter is the Glue Gunner's path 2 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It makes Glue Gunner's projectiles create a splatter upon impact instead of passing through its first target. This splatter has a pierce of 4 (or 6 with 
More Splatty Glue) and applies the same glue effects as the main projectile. This means a single shot may glue up to 5 Bloons in total (or 7 with More Splatty Glue).
This upgrade's description is inaccurate, as the Glue Gunner's shots affect up to 5 Bloons each and not 6.

Strategy

Glue Splatter is not recommended for standalone use, as its increased pierce is not worth the cost unless given additional upgrades. Glue Splatter does provide a necessary pierce bonus to improve value of Tier 1-2 Glue Gunners, but often not cost-inefficient. However, Glue Splatter is solid as a crosspath for Tier 3+ Glue Gunners. Bloon Dissolver, Relentless Glue, and their succeeding upgrades all benefit greatly from increased pierce to their glue attacks (and in the case of Relentless Glue and Super Glue, their splats as well). MOAB Glue needs Glue Splatter against dense rounds due to its shorter duration on blimps, otherwise Bigger Globs is enough for pierce, while its subsequent upgrades need the full pierce of Glue Splatter to maximize effectiveness of on-pop stuns.

Many people seem to agree 5xx Glue is ‘good’, but simply outclassed (mainly by 5xx mortar at a similar price). This won’t completely fix that, we hope to work on making the earlier stepping stone tiers a little easier to use and provide the 520 crosspath with a better niche by making Bloon Solver benefit from all pierce twice as much (which x2x provides).
