Dark Champion is the Super Monkey's path 3 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. This upgrade increases its range from 53 to 57 units and doubles its attack speed, alternating projectiles between its hands. The Darkshift abilty is now global, allowing it to be placed anywhere.
This upgrade also greatly improves the blades, increasing their damage from 1 to 2, their bonus damage to MOABs from 2 to 3, their bonus damage to Camo Bloons from 1 to 2, gains +2 damage to ceramic bloons, and pop all bloon types. Their pierce is increased from 4 to 8, size from 4 to 5, and upon hitting a target ricochet to the closest bloon after a 0.1 second delay up to 8 times.

Strategy

Dark Champion is an expensive late game tower with enough power to function as a carry when supported with Overclock. Global teleports, knockback, and projectile ricochet help it effectively deal with most rounds, but it has poor single target damage for its cost and needs support to handle the round 100 BAD.
2-0-4 crosspath is much preferred for maximized attack speed, since it already gains a sizeable pierce bonus and cannot synergize with Geraldo's Sharpening Stone.

Robo didn't need to lose pierce in the last Super Monkey T2 rework, and Dark Knight feels like it has too much pierce without ever considering the pierce crosspath. So to balance these together we’ve taken out pierce from Dark Knight and added it back into x2x carrying up into Robo Monkey. Dark Champion pierce is increased rather than decreased to push it further ahead of Dark Knight.
