Sky Shredder is the Monkey Ace's path 1 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. Its dart volleys attack twice as fast and shoots 32 darts per volley instead of 16, both its darts and anti-MOAB homing missiles deal much more damage and have the Normal damage type, and gain more pierce.
Dart: Each volley shoots 32 per shot instead of 16, damage increases from 1 to 3,[fn 1] and +2 Ceramic damage, base pierce increased from 5 to 8 (6 to 9 with Airforce Upgrades), and attack cooldown reduced from 0.63 seconds to 0.315 seconds. Darts also have 3× projectile speed (360 units/s) with the same lifespan of 1.4 seconds.
Missile: Damage of each missile increased from 24 to 150, +2 to Ceramics,[fn 2] and base pierce increased from 4 to 5. It is shot every 1.5 seconds.
Its pineapples are identical to Fighter Plane except they also deal +2 Ceramic damage.
Sky Shredder is a highly versatile global range tower that is suitable for all players, having a high skill ceiling but reasonable skill floor. Its decent damage becomes exceptional when proper Ace micro is executed. The missiles break down blimps, which the darts can mostly clean up, albeit with some leaks. It benefits from buffs such as Berserker Brew which take advantage of its many projectiles.
Towers and Heroes that can clean up its leaks, such as Adora and The Bloon Solver, are recommended to supplement it. Rosalia is also a strong Hero option due to her solid supplemental damage, knockback, and 10% discount to all nearby Aces.
The 5-0-2 crosspath is generally superior, as Sharper Darts grants much-needed pierce to the darts and Centered Path greatly enhances mobility, compared to 5-2-0's extra pierce to missiles which is still good but doesn't have as much consistent group-popping of blimps, unless wanting to specifically deal with DDTs.

Monkey Ace was never intended to be a great starting tower and instead come into power at mid- and high-tier upgrades, but since the base tower feels lacking to new players (and some of us old timers) we decided to rework low tier power into the base tower. — Update notes

More of a straight quality of life, Ace has gained a new special toggle button to allow it to turn back and fly in reverse on any selected flight pattern. — Update notes
Sky Shredder has a higher skill ceiling than most towers so has evaded many nerfs, but is still too good for what it offers so is finally seeing a slight price increase — Update notes
Sky Shredder somewhat justifies its power as one of the very best towers in the game, although everything at this level is a bit too cheap. — Update notes

Fighter Plane’s missiles often get stuck circling slower targets until they expire, since Ace can’t reasonably plan against this the missile turn acceleration has been tweaked to reduce chance of this happening. — Update notes
Prior to version 17.1, it had inherent Camo detection. According to a Ninja Kiwi blog post, the reason for this change was because it "is so focused on making those sick turns that it doesn’t notice when a sneaki camo gets through."
Its portrait and upgrade icon correctly depict all 32 darts it fires per volley, but depict it as firing in an arc instead of in a circle like in-game.
↑This almost never matters, as the MOAB Missile can only target and damage MOAB-Class Bloons. Only Dreadbloon's Ceramic Shell is considered both Ceramic and MOAB-Class.
