Golden Justice is the Desperado's path 2 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It increases the damage of its pistol attack and allows it to hit multiple Bloons in a small area, uses a slower-firing rifle that deals much more damage and has 9,999,999 pierce (approximately infinite pierce), and has a stronger version of the Marked to Pop ability. Crits from its attacks are also improved from 4× to 8×. The basic marking attack cooldown is reduced from 6 to 3 seconds and its minimum cooldown is reduced from 3 seconds to 1 second.
Each pistol shot does 24 damage, deals +24 damage to Ceramics, and now produces an area-of-effect that hits up to 8 Bloons that overlap the initial shot's centerpoint, which also does 24 base damage and +24 damage to Ceramics. The AoE can hit the same Bloon as the initial shot. The initial shot also marks Bloons.
Each rifle shot now does 280 base damage, +280 damage to Ceramic, and +280 damage to Fortified (before the damage multipliers from crits or hitting marked Bloons). However, its attack speed is halved compared to Bounty Hunter (3.18s attack cooldown).
Its own Marked to Pop ability is separated from Tier 4 Bounty Hunters, and does 300 base damage per shot (before the damage multipliers from crits or hitting marked Bloons) instead of 30.

Golden Justice's infinite pierce and high damage from the rifle attack makes it stand out against hyperdense rounds if it is allowed to shoot along a long straight line and if Bloons are slow enough between its long cooldown. The rifle's speed penalty makes it unreliable without consistent straight lines, and struggles versus fast-moving Bloons such as DDTs and Super Ceramics. Like its previous two upgrades, the pistol attack should be avoided if possible, which is forced when Bloons get close and has significantly less DPS, despite the capability to directly mark targets. Because of this weakness, Golden Justice is mostly locked to Silas, which combined with Absolute Zero can keep the most powerful attack active at all times.
2-5-0 is usually preferred, to improve consistency against single targets because of Standoff, and Quickdraw's distance speed buff sees more practical use given its need to fire along long straight lines. If groups of Bloons entering its range is a concern, going 0-5-2 can be considered because of Nomad's increased speed per Bloon in range. However, as it has long range, retaining Wanderer buffs is not practical outside of custom challenges.

[...] the rest of the higher tiers in this path see a number of stat improvements to balance out their unique use cases. The T5’s Bounty Mark application is improving with faster passive Marks and the pistol now also applying a Mark to the first Bloon hit by each attack. — Update notes

Overall cost reduced by $1,650 (due to cost changes for previous tiers)
Mid-path desperado’s pistol was intended to be a soft ‘minimum range’, but implementation was confusing and frustrating to use, somehow again right after Wolfy’s recent struggles (fun videos those), we decided to work on improving the first timer's desperado experience for this path. The Rifle weapon will now always take priority and shoot first over the pistol if there are targets within Rifle radius, HOWEVER, pistol range is now a true deadzone that the rifle cannot target within. TLDR; The pistol now attacks when there are only Bloons within the pistol radius and nothing in the rifle radius. — Update notes

Targeting and weapon selection: Desperados will now prioritize attacking Bloons with the Rifle over any pistol target
Rifle attack: Cannot longer target Bloons in the pistol's range
Note: This is implemented as a minimum range of 40 units
Pistol attack: Range increased ― 28 units → 40 units
Note: Rifle range unchanged (80 units)
Pistol attack: Range cannot longer be buffed
This allows range buffs to not reduce the minimum range of the rifle, but prevents the pistol attack from triggering at longer ranges.
