Cleansing Foam is the Engineer Monkey's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. | Cleansing Foam is the Engineer Monkey's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants the Engineer Monkey an additional foam attack which can be targeted anywhere within the Engineer Monkey's range, and continuously sprays its target with foam. Bloons that touch the foam will lose their Camo and Regrow properties, if they have it. Additionally, Lead Bloons (not DDTs) will lose their outer layers instantly upon touching the foam, even if Fortified. All attacks' speed is quadrupled for 1 second at the start of each round.

The Engineer Monkey's foam attack has a cooldown of 2s, which is reduced to 1s with the Faster Engineering upgrade. Each foam has a pierce of 10, which is increased to 15 by the Oversize Nails upgrade. Thicker Foams increases foam pierce by 3. With the Pin upgrade, foam slows down non-MOAB-Class Bloons that touch it by 0.5× for 1 second. Foam has a lifespan of 8.5s. Foam can be targeted anywhere within the Engineer Monkey's range, including over obstacles and off the track.
Foam deals no damage to Bloons, other than Lead Bloons. When a Lead Bloon touches foam, its outer layer will pop instantly even if it is Fortified (this does not apply to DDTs). Foam removes the Camo and Regrow properties of any Bloon it hits, including DDTs. Each Bloon that touches it uses up one of the foam's pierce, even if the foam did not affect it in any way.
All attacks have their attack speed increased by 4× for 1 second at the start of every round. This is considered a buff and can be stolen by Lych.
If an Engineer Monkey has both the Cleansing Foam and Sentry Gun upgrades, the deployed Sentries remove Camo and Regrow properties as well as instantly pop Lead layers, but not necessarily damage Lead properties.<!--try this on a dreadbloon boss rush or DDTs--> However, the Sentries need external buffs to target Camo Bloons. These Sentries remove the Camo property from DDTs if given Camo detection, even if they cannot damage them due to the Lead property.

Cleansing Foam is a viable option for dealing with Camo Bloons in the early to mid game, however it lacks the pierce to be reliable against some rounds with dense Camo Bloons such as round 78. The ability to handle lead, camo, and regrow makes it cheap, flexible option in early-game ABR. It also has a niche in removing Camo from DDTs in the late game by targeting it slightly off the track so it doesn't waste pierce on other targets. The increased attack speed at the start of rounds helps produce enough foam before the Bloons arrive. Although Lych will steal the start-of-round speed buff to gain back Regrow, Cleansing Foam is consistent enough to maintain almost full uptime against Lych's Regrow properties.
Crosspaths are optional. 2-3-0 is more reliable Regrow removal, offering sentries that strip more Bloons and a faster dispersal of foam per second, and the start-of-round speed boost improves sentry production particularly in Boss Rush. Bottom crosspaths are preferred late-game to slow Super Ceramics and deal with denser Bloons.
