The Legend of the Night is | The Legend of the Night is both one of the costliest and strongest single tower upgrades, thus making it stand out on Least Tiers in Boss Events.
Although not seeing much use against other Bosses, its passive black hole ability is valuable against Phayze in Boss Rush due to its tendency to pull Bloons directly to the exit, and against Bloonarius, whose sludge DDTs can escape quickly on shorter maps. It can also be used in Freeplay, but mind its long cooldown (which can be reduced by Energizer). Furthermore, VTSG deals more damage compared to using both it and The Anti-Bloon, though with careful timing the player can sell VTSG as a last resort, then use LOTN to prolong their high score. This strategy is excellent when paired with stall setups and Time Stops, where the player can consistently get one use per round and destroy several BADs.
2-0-5 | 2-0-5 is preferred for increased DPS, but is not necessary in the aforementioned Least Tiers or Freeplay stall strategies.
