Arcane Spike is the Wizard Monkey's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It doubles the attack speed of Wizard Monkey's main attack, and increases its damage from 3 to 6, with +10 additional MOAB-Class damage (or +11 with 
Arcane Impale). With Arcane Impale, this upgrade grants +1 Ceramic damage. This upgrade allows the main attack to damage Lead Bloons, but not Purple Bloons.
Additionally, when crosspathed with the middle path this upgrade grants +6 bonus MOAB damage to Fireballs and +2 damage to Wall of Fire. Like Arcane Mastery, Arcane Spike's fireballs have 19 pierce.

Arcane Spike has relatively weak pierce and damage for its cost, but is fairly accurate with its seeking bolts and is an okay transition to Archmage. Its MOAB-class damage is average for its cost, even with middle-path crosspaths that boost its overall DPS. It performs even worse in the mid-game with the Arcane Impale Monkey Knowledge due to layer skipping popping Ceramic Bloons down into large groups of Yellow Bloons. It is advised to use Berserker Brew in non-CHIMPS games to reduce layer skipping issues and to avoid it in CHIMPS as it makes layer skipping worse.
4-0-2 is better as a standalone tower due to gaining extra pierce, which is necessary for reliable cleanup, but 4-2-0 is better as a stepping stone to Archmage and has more single-target damage.
