With the Shrapnel Shot crosspath, shrapnel can also stun MOAB-Class Bloons for 66% the normal duration. Additionally, shrapnel damage is increased from 4 to 6.
Without external buffs and Monkey Knowledge, 4-x-0 can permanently stun a blue MOAB, while requiring a small attack speed buff (such as Jungle Drums) to perma-stun a BFB. 4-0-2 can perma-stun a BFB, and with a minor attack speed buff, it can also permanently stun a ZOMG or a DDT.

Maim MOAB is a flexible method of stunning blimps across any range, given enough Line of Sight. It is a good support tower, assisting defenses that take time to pop blimps. It sees great utility from the mid-game up to Round 150 (which reduces stun duration from all towers), thanks to both its stun and decent blimp damage.
4-2-0 is the generally recommended crosspath, as it grants DDT stunning power and the shrapnel allows for the stunning of far more blimps, providing significantly improved supporting capabilities. Berserker Brew greatly enhances the 4-2-0 Maim MOAB, granting much-needed pierce and attack speed. 4-0-2 is useful for stalling, but is outclassed by MOAB Shove, which is cheaper and deals less damage, allowing for a longer stall. However, 4-0-2 is very useful in Boss Bloon Events, which demand perma-stunning of ZOMGs for an optimal Tier 5 stall.

This tower felt like it’s strength too heavily required the xx2 upgrade, and that this harmed crosspath choices. So we increased the base attack rate while nerfing the increase from these upgrades. This is a slight overall buff — Update notes
To retain value in more Lead-heavy situations including against DDTs, this upgrade that has always allowed Lead popping to main attack will now also grant this to the Shrapnel from any shrapnel shot snipers mixing in this upgrade — Update notes
Trading off rate of fire for shrapnel crosspath doesn’t work well for Maim MOAB as it’s all about being a stall tower, so instead of focussing on a damage increase here the shrapnel will now apply the benefits of the sniper’s stun & debuff to turn this crosspath choice into a question of preference in grouping vs single target. — Update notes
Maim MOABs grouped stun potential when crosspathed with Shrapnel feels it is overperforming too much so the shrapnel will now have a reduced stun amount compared to the initial target hit — Update notes
While there is some level of strategic placement to the 420 crosspath, Maim MOAB has high effectiveness for unlimited range slowing without any necessary spam use so is seeing a small price increase with a larger reduction on the T5 cost. — Update notes
Sniper Monkey has some very powerful upgrades but also many poor stepping stones. We felt this tower needed a big price shuffle all around, pushing down the cost of many underwhelming upgrades but returning this back into stronger upgrades. — Update notes
