The Bloon Solver is the Glue Gunner's path 1 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It improves the damage-over-time effect of the Glue Gunner's glue, increasing its Ceramic damage from +3 to +9 and increasing its MOAB-Class damage from +0 to +4. It also upgrades the acid puddles dropped from affected Bloons after popping, increasing puddle damage from 4 to 15.

This upgrade increases Glue Gunner's pierce from 2 to 4, lets it fire 2 globs of glue per shot instead of 1, split angularly by a 10° fixed spread, and reduces its attack cooldown by 50%, doubling its attack speed. It also makes Glue Gunner's glue globs splatter upon impact as if Glue Splatter were purchased instead of going through targets. With the 5-1-0 crosspath, the puddles gain 1 pierce for a total of 4. With the 5-0-1 crosspath, puddles carry over one round and last 9.1 seconds longer.

Strategy

Solver is among the most powerful towers at its price range. It easily clears Super Ceramic Bloons, while triggering a chain effect with its puddles that deals solid damage to everything else. However, it has a weakness against high-tier blimps, such as BADs and ZOMGs, especially when no puddles have been triggered. Thus, Solver synergizes very well with The Final Harmonic, as the duo breaks open the BAD extremely quickly due to Harmonic triggering the glue's damage-over-time, and Harmonic's trance provides valuable support against ZOMGs. Carpet of Spikes also works well with Solver, breaking open high-tier blimps and allowing Solver to trigger its puddles, in addition to taking care of DDTs.

Solver is also an excellent tower in Race Events, with its glue and puddles wiping out extreme clumps of Bloons sent with ease.

On easier maps, place Solver at a spot where Bloons pass by it multiple times, allowing it to glue blimps to the front, damage them, and clean up Bloons near the back. On maps that lack these placements, Solver is best placed near the exit, as it triggers its puddles the most effectively there. 5-2-0 is the optimal crosspath for nearly all cases, as it grants extra pierce to the puddles and allows Solver to glue Bloons more reliably, while synergizing with Harmonic well enough for the BAD. 5-0-2's niche is in Boss Events, where its greater synergy with Harmonic shines and deals extreme damage to Bosses.

This is not intended to be a significant nerf to the tower’s base game performance so we plan to keep an eye on the change; however the recent top path Glue Gunner changes where duplicating every high level glued Bloon into magnitudes more puddles due to the recurring children multiplication of pre-r80 Bloons. This caused performance issues and effectively broke the game in certain situations so we have limited these puddles to spawn from the first child of glued targets to keep the lategame performance unchanged but hopefully solve the root of this issue in the early game where the main attack is mostly enough to easily deal with all cleanup anyway.
