Orca is the Beast Handler's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. The Beast Handler now handles an orca instead of a great white. Its Beast Power is increased by +8, changing its Beast Power scale from 8–24 to 16–64.

The Orca's thrash has increased radius (15 → 24), more damage (12 → 30) and pierce (10 → 20), and 50% increased knockback duration and strength against both Bloons and MOAB-Class Bloons. Additionally, Orca now drags all types of Bloons for only 1 second and can drag MOABs and BFBs for Remaining HP120 seconds, with a minimum of 1 second and maximum of 6 seconds. The beast itself has its range increased from 40 to 50.

At max Beast Power, Orca can drag ZOMGs and visible DDTs.

At Power 64, Orca is one of the strongest towers for its cost, dragging ZOMGs & DDTs and wiping out practically everything else surrounding it with its thrash. The Power 16 Orca can be used to one-shot bloons during midgame and slow MOABs in lategame, although not as cost efficient. The intermediate Power stages aren't very notable, though the increased damage and thrash rate do greatly help it against large groups of MOABs.

The best way to obtain a Power 64 Orca is to get a Power 16 Orca and two Power 24 Great Whites (which are more efficient merges than additional Orcas). For a smooth saveup, max degree barracudas and/or great whites can fight alongside the Orca during midgame, and then merged into Orca on Round 80. The Orca itself can also be merged partway to help it out.

Orca's downtime makes it tend to leak fast bloons, MOABs, or DDTs, which can be solved in many ways. The player can use a heavy cleanup tower such as Perma-Spike or Prince of Darkness, employ a cleanup hero such as Adora, or use several cheaper supports such as Snowstorm or Symphonic Resonance. Overclock is also a great option due to having full uptime and being strong enough to take down almost everything with its thrash. Even with Overclock, the BAD requires extra damage; towers like Spike Storm or heroes with a large amount of round 100 damage like Geraldo are recommended.

Orca likes maps with water adjacent to the track, such as Lotus Island or Bloody Puddles, as they keep it thrashing on top of the bloons the whole time. It likes to be kept on Strong the most, but if a significant amount of bloons start getting through, First or Close can be employed. First covers leaking bloons easier, while Close lets Orca grab high HP targets easier.

As our newest tower to be added to BTD6, we went over feedback for every path and made a large number of adjustments addressing a variety of points.

Beast Handler’s general repositioning feels far too free right now, the reposition cooldown is being increased to a more reasonably noticeable number so this feels like a meaningful cost. We feel Beast Handler balance is setting down nicely overall but it feels like the reposition cooldown increasing was far more impactful and unfun than intended, we still feel the initial delay was silly but are cutting it down again a little. Orca's knockback has the same duration as the T3 so although it does gain a little increased knockback amount already it's very random in what it hits much more expensive than the T3 so this knockback duration is being increased a little for base & merge.

Base handler's beast range felt too high starting off when considering the tower is built around sharing range between multiple Handlers so this range is being reduced.

Top Handler is designed around huge inconsistent power, however Megalodon feels that it should be more reliable for the investment required so we are improving both thrash radius and reducing the cooldown. Fish RBE limit before being able to devour the target instantly is being increased to last further into freeplay.
