Bloon Buster is the Mortar Monkey's path 1 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It increases the damage of Mortar Monkey's shells from 2 to 3.

If Shattering Shells is purchased, this upgrade increases the damage of the damage-over-time effect from 5 to 8, and its damage on MOAB-Class Bloons from 10 to 15. If Blooncineration is purchased, this upgrade increases the damage of the damage-over-time effect on MOAB-Class Bloons from 100 to 150 and increases the damage of its walls of fire from 1 to 3.

Strategy

Bloon Buster's increased damage improves its DPS and capability to skip more layers at once, including skipping the explosion-immune layers of a Rainbow. This upgrade sees use in the early game of Race Events, though its use is otherwise relegated to crosspathing. It is the optimal crosspath for middle-path Mortar Monkeys, and is preferred for Blooncineration if the map has only 1 entrance per round.

That said, since low tier Mortars were never powerful we chose to leave the speed buff from last update but revert the accuracy nerf.
