MOAB Shove is the Heli Pilot's path 3 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants Heli Pilot a new shove attack, which can slow or reverse the movement of MOAB-Class Bloons. This attack deals no damage, and has 1 pierce which cannot be buffed. Bigger Jets enhances the shove's strength.

This upgrade also grants Heli Pilot a new homing missile attack. This attack deals 2 damage with +2 Ceramic damage, +2 MOAB-Class damage, 10 pierce, and a 3 second attack cooldown. Missiles have infinite range, unlike Heli Pilot's other attacks. These missiles cannot damage Black Bloons.

This upgrade's description is misleading: the shove is not amplified by the IFR upgrade except that it gains Camo detection.

Mechanics

The shove attack slows or reverses MOAB-Class Bloons depending on their type, to a given percentage of their normal speed. BADs and Boss Bloons are never affected by shove. Bigger Jets lowers the speed of shoved Bloons by 11 percentage points.

The shove attack has a range of 42 units and targets the closest available Bloon to the Heli Pilot. The same Bloon is not shoved more by multiple MOAB Shove towers.

MOAB Shove is a cheap and easy-to-use MOAB stall against a single blimp. It can be moved anywhere, allowing it to single out a MOAB or BFB for a very long stall. In the mid-game it assists defenses that have a MOAB weakness, while towards the late-game it shifts into an end-of-round staller, alongside a significant ZOMG slow. Unlike most towers, Shove doesn't fall off much on multilane maps, which often separate MOAB-class Bloons on different lanes, allowing Shove to focus on one at a time, making it easier to focus on an isolated blimp.

In CHIMPS, Shove's capability to stall the end of a round is important, long enough to cool off all activated abilities or maximize stockpiles, especially from Perma-Spike. For Boss Bloon Events, Shove can be used to stall out Resurrected Blimps from T1 Lych.

0-1-3 is preferred for its strong shove, and can also stop a single BFB. 0-2-3 can target DDTs innately, though this is outclassed by more reliable DDT slowdowns such as Bloon Sabotage, while top crosspaths are only beneficial if planning to further upgrade to Comanche Defense.

The extra missile attack actively goes against stalling and is too weak and slow to serve as main damage. Razor Rotors has more reliable lead-popping and general damage for less cost.

Heli Pilot manages on pursuit far too easily without any need to consider Bigger Jets unless camo or downdraft is required. For more crosspath variety than just ‘camo’ we moved more of the base Heli speed out and back into Bigger Jets with an overall buff to Bigger Jets. This should allow Bigger Jets to scale a little better than other helis through early speed ramping. Due to overall comparisons between Downdraft’s blowback & MOAB Shove we have also slashed MOAB Shove’s price by 30% to give it & Comanche more of a kickstart

Downdraft has more general use throughout the game and scales better than the more expensive MOAB Shove upgrade though they both see use, so the price of these upgrades has been swapped around. Faster Darts xx1 upgrade will now increase the attack distance of Heli Dart attacks in order to assist with cluttering issues where large numbers of Helis will push each other away from nearby targets.
