Super Mines does incredible damage for its cost despite its speed penalty, making it suitable for fighting Bosses and high-HP Bloons. Unlike most Spike Factories, Super Mines can work well as a DPS tower that is placed near the front to maximize pierce and coverage against crowds and single-targets, as well as its napalm that does high enough chip damage to warrant this. It's still a good choice when placed at the back, as its mega explosions are large enough to still set off and apply napalm.
Super Mines deals incredible damage fitting its high cost, making it suitable for [[Boss Events]] and [[Freeplay]]. Although still good when placed at the back of the track, it can be placed at the front or middle to maximize coverage due to its large explosion radius, as well as to benefit its DoT's duration.

Crosspathing is beneficial for Super Mines, and should be crosspathed unless the challenge is Least Tiers. Middle crosspaths are usually better for the increased rate, because bloon ramping may naturally cause mines to consume quickly. Bottom crosspaths are mostly reserved on [[Boss Rush]] to take full advantage of the start-of-round speed boost.
5-2-0 is usually preferred, while 5-0-2 is mostly reserved for [[Boss Rush]] to take advantage of the start-of-round speed boost.
