Bloontonium Reactor is the Monkey Sub's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It improves the Monkey Sub's decamo pulses while submerged, now dealing 1 damage to Bloons in addition to removing the Camo property. The damage pulse has a pierce of 50 (compared to the decamo pulse's pierce of 100) and cannot damage Lead Bloons. This upgrade also reduces the pulse's attack cooldown by ~84% (0.28 seconds, or 0.196 seconds with 4-0-1), effectively increasing its attack speed by ~6.25x. Bloons hit by the damaging pulse are irradiated for the same duration as its attack cooldown, which prevents Bloontonium Reactors and Energizers from stacking their damage. While submerged, towers placed on water within its range are granted a buff that reduces their Activated Ability cooldowns by 15%.
This upgrade increases the damage of Monkey Sub's darts from 1 to 2 when not submerged. This includes Airburst Darts, if crosspathed as 4-0-2.

Strategy
Bloontonium Reactor is a good multi-purpose tower for the early-mid game, cleaning up Bloons below Ceramics well and performing reliable de-camo. Its damage aspect excels the most in Race Events, thanks to its high pierce. There, it is recommended to purchase a 0-2-0 into 3-2-0 Berserker Brew to buff Submerge and Support, sell Berserker Brew, upgrade the Submerge and Support into a 4-1-0 Bloontonium Reactor, and pair it with Ice Shards. 4-2-0's innate lead-popping isn't necessary unless lead-popping is very scarce.
Outside of Race Events, Bloontonium Reactor remains useful into the late-game thanks to its near-instant de-camo of DDTs and cooldown reduction for water towers, most notably for Admiral Brickell and First Strike Capability, the latter on maps that require Bloontonium Reactor for two ability usages against Round 100. In both Race Events and general gameplay, it is best placed so that it has maximum coverage of the track and has the greatest track length available for cleanup. 4-0-1 is the optimal crosspath outside of Race Events for stronger cleanup capabilities. 4-0-2 does have stronger Airbursts, but redundant if not planning to use it for early MOABs.

Similar types of camo reveal like Shimmer/Signal Flare/Embrittlement are all pierce limited, but the Submerge sub has practically infinite pierce while also being extremely cheap with a very fast rate and a T4 that is far better at camo removal than those other towers can reach. We have come back a number of times to add, fix & balance sub crosspathing, over years of learning though it currently feels messy and we’d like simplification. Heat-Tipped Darts doesn’t increase base sub pierce, so it feels silly to require it for maximum pierce on Submerged subs.
