Pirate Lord is the Monkey Buccaneer's path 2 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It decreases the attack cooldown of all attacks by 35%, increasing the Monkey Buccaneer's attack speed by ~53.8%. It also improves several of the Monkey Buccaneer's attacks:

• Grapes damage increased from 4 to 8, and Ceramic damage increased from +2 to +4
  • Grapes damage-over-time effect increased from 2 per tick to 9
• Cannonball MOAB-Class damage increased from +5 to +8
  • Cannonball frags damage increased from 1 to 6, frags MOAB-Class damage increased from +0 to +3

This upgrade grants the MOAB Takedown ability 6 hooks in total, and the capability of hooking ZOMGs at the cost of 3 hooks each. The ability's cooldown is decreased from 45 seconds to 30 seconds (25 seconds with Faster Takedowns), and hooked Bloons grant +100% increased pop income.

Pirate Lord is a solid Tier 5, dealing massively improved damage across the board compared to its predecessor, Monkey Pirates. Like most Buccaneers, positioning it so that track surrounds it on opposing sides is essential, as its attacks can then activate from both sides. Its much improved hook ability means that its slight weakness against single-targets is mitigated in nearly all scenarios, except the Round 100 BAD. The extra cash from its hooks can be used for income, especially when paired with Rubber to Gold, though XXXL Trap is generally superior for this purpose.

2-5-0 is the recommended crosspath in nearly all situations, thanks to the increased attack speed from Faster Firing and more significant extra grape from Double Shot. However, the 0-5-2 Pirate Lord is useful for the All for one and one for one achievement without selling, which is most easily achieved on Logs, Cubism, Resort, and Spa Pits. Admiral Brickell is essential to Pirate Lord, thanks to her Level 8 pierce buff and Naval Tactics ability granting a 2x attack speed boost in addition to DDT-popping power to the frags. The 4-2-0 Stronger Stimulant is strongly recommended as well, due to the low pierce of frags, low grape pierce, and Perishing Potions being needed for uptime.

In Race Events, a non-crosspathed Pirate Lord can be used to grab multiple blimps instantly, especially if the last bloon is not a blimp (the takedown animation wastes time if they're the last target(s)). With Favored Trades, this saves money with sell-and-rebuy tricks.
