Monarch of Storms (Superstorm prior to version 50.0) is the Druid's path 1 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It adds the superstorm attack and improves the Ball Lightning tower by increasing the damage of the Heart of Thunder lightning attacks from 3 to 30, and lightning produced by lightning balls from 3 to 10.
The superstorm is a slow moving projectile that does 100 damage and inflicts blowback on MOAB-Class Bloons, with a minimum of 100 units (half the value if it's a ZOMG). The superstorm projectile also fires out a ball lightning projectile every 3s; this ball lightning is fired in a randomized direction within 180° of the superstorm's fired direction. Superstorm projectiles ignore walls and can bounce off map borders, consume more pierce on blimps (MOAB: 3, BFB: 9, ZOMG: 33, DDT: 7), can target BADs but not Boss Bloons, have 200 pierce, can re-hit Bloons every second, and last up to 12.8571s (17.1429s with 5-0-1). It removes all glue and ice mutators and their effects, except Glue Strike and Glue Storm ability effects from BADs and Bosses. It attacks every 4 seconds, and can trigger on any target.
Monarch of Storms has a steep cost compared to cheaper options (such as Icicle Impale or Super Glue). For a similar price, Bloon Crush is generally more consistent for the stalling role unless Monarch of Storms gains enough speed buffs (e.g. Poplust) for the differences in damage and crowd control to matter. However, Monarch of Storms's single-target damage is not bad, due to the rehitting superstorms, but fails to be effective in Boss Events due to the lack of Boss damage on its superstorms, though in Boss Rush it has a niche for blowing back leaking MOABs and DDTs against especially Phayze. Monarch is not compatible with extreme Freeplay strategies due to the superstorms removing all of Herald of Everfrost's debuffs.
5-0-2 is the preferred crosspath, due to the increased attack speed and projectile lifespan. 5-2-0 is redundant as pierce is rarely an issue.

Now that Tornadoes are one of the more popular Bloon Stall choices we looked more into its upgrade progression, tornado projectile speed is being reduced as a benefit to Ball Lightning to prevent tornado outpacing the lightning ball so quickly, and to more suit it as a Cold/Magic themed upgrade plus differentiate from similar supports the weaknesses are changing. More directly to Ball Lightning we feel it needs a considerably higher freeze duration for the freeze to matter as it casts slowly. — Update notes
