Overclock is the Engineer Monkey's path 2 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants the Overclock Activated Ability, which allows the player to apply a temporary buff to a non-sentry tower of their choosing. For most towers, it reduces the attack cooldown of the target tower by 40%, increasing its attack speed by ~66.7%. Since the banana production of Banana Farms is considered an attack, it also increases the number of bananas (or packets of cash in the case of Monkey Banks and Marketplaces) they produce by 66.7%, rounded up to the nearest whole number. If used on a Monkey Village, it increases its range by 10%. The attack speed buff also works on Primary Expertise, but not Monkeyopolis. The duration of the buff depends on the target's current upgrade tier and does not change if the target upgrades while the buff is active.
- Tier 5: 30 seconds
- Tier 4: 45 seconds
- Tier 3 and below or heroes: 60 seconds
In addition, this upgrade increases the base pierce of the Engineer Monkey's main attack by 12 (increased to 15) and increases the pierce of its Cleansing Foam puddles by 4 (increased to 14). It also doubles the projectile speed of its nails, but halves their lifespan, so their maximum travel distance remains the same.

Strategy
Overclock is a great support tower when one's strategy depends on few strong towers rather than many weak towers. It provides an average ~44.44% DPS boost on tier 5 towers and has full uptime on tier 4 towers. Thus, it has significant value with high-DPS towers such as Dark Champion, or an Orca or Tyrannosaurus Rex with max beast power. It is also effective at buffing DPS-centered heros such as Adora and Captain Churchill, as well as heroes that are capable of blimp knockback such as Pat Fusty and Rosalia.
Overclock is also a key tower when farming, particularly for Boss events. Since Banana Research Facility (BRF) and Banana Central generate 5 banana crates per round, when overclocked they generate 9 crates as , which rounds up to 9. Therefore an Overclock constitutes an 80% buff to cash generation for these Farms, making Overclocked BRFs and Banana Central more efficient than BRFs and Banana Central alone. It is not recommended to use Overclock on Monkey Wall Street as it does not affect its end of round cash bonus. The table below shows the increase in production for different Banana Farms:
| Farm | 0-0-0
0-X-0 0-0-1 0-0-2 |
1-0-0
1-X-0 1-0-1 1-0-2 |

The range buff it provides Villages is useful on a Monkey City when building a Monkeyopolis, as the increased range will allow more farms to fit in range of the Village. If Overclocking would cover the range of at least 5 BRFs, applying the Monkey City buff would make more money than on a single BRF, assuming they're not income-buffed by other sources (e.g. Fertilizer), in addition to covering more range for the discounts of Monkey Commerce. However, the range increase to Villages is rarely useful outside of these applications; it is usually cheaper to buy more Villages rather than an Overclock.
As a supportive tower, Overclock is a very poor damage dealer by itself despite the fact that it gains pierce. It usually should not be crosspathed at all, since none of the crosspaths improve the ability. However, the Overclock's extra foam pierce does have niche use for more reliable decamo; it has better crosspathing value than its T3.
As with its T3, Cleansing Foam, avoid placing Overclock too close to Lych, as its start-of-round speed boost may heal Lych.
