Why we changed it: we’ve always intended Monkey Knowledge to grow, so that means more cumulative power, and some strong new Knowledges. The current one point per Knowledge with light sequential requirements and nothing else to do with Knowledge Points doesn’t do a good enough job of governing or guiding the varying strength of the Knowledge trees. The Monkey Money requirement provides both, asking players to make a considered choice by using a resource that has value in many other places in the game. As we add tougher modes and Bloons, we can add more and better Knowledge, and this gives the team a better way to indicate and to govern that power according to that value. — Update notes

Added Monkey Money costs to tier 4+ Monkey Knowledge
Respec confirmation text changed ― "Resets all Monkey Knowledge so you can assign all Monkey Knowledge points again." → "Resets all Monkey Knowledge so you can reassign all points. Monkey Money spent unlocking a given Knowledge remains invested there."
Whew, we've got our work cut out for us. Hmm, what could we do? Maybe... Odyssey Mode, Trophy Store with customization for visuals and music, Boss Bloons, Power Pros, more Challenge Editor functions, new Knowledge, new Heroes, new Monkey Towers, some top secret surprises, and at every step making the game run better, look better, and be more fun and challenging to play solo and with friends. Hope that sounds like a good 2020 ahead!

Internally, this update also changed the description of Soulbind's Activated Ability to match the new description of Prince of Darkness, despite it being unused in every version of the game. (Internally, all Activated Abilities have their own descriptions separate from the descriptions of upgrades, similar to the Flash version of Bloons TD 5, though only the Hero Abilities were ever used, and only in older versions.)
